Education Committee
General Purpose of Education Committee:
Working in conjunction with state and chapter leaders throughout the association, and IMBA's educational partner, Diehl & Associates, develop and implement a series of meetings and training sessions to benefit members of IMBA and non-members who work in the real estate lending and related fields. Also, work with MBA and their CampusMBA programs to enhance educational offerings to members and promote IMBA's CRMP.
Members:
Members of this committee will include a Chair (current IMBA member) and members of the association from each chapter and a representative from Diehl & Associates.
General Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Education Committee Chair to work pro-actively with IMBA ED to recruit committee members, set up a schedule of meetings/calls, and, attend in person or via call all scheduled board meetings and, along with ED, provide details of activities
- Determine a date each summer to have a meeting/call to begin the process of developing the needs and a calendar for the upcoming year, starting in September
- Send communication out to membership concerning initial meeting and request feedback on ideas
- When topics have been chosen, wherever possible, provide opportunities for members (vendors and lenders) to teach/present the material before going to an 'outside' source
- Whenever possible, work with the NMLS to provide continuing education (CE) credit on courses offered
- When calendar completed and when updates are made, work with ED to have posted on IMBA web site
- Work with ED to develop marketing strategies and material to promote educational offerings
- Annually, determine CRMP Chair to promote CRMP to membership throughout the year at meetings and via database marketing
Goals:
- Provide valuable content for members in each meeting
- Earn a net profit on all meetings that flows back to the state or individual chapter
- Where possible, achieve a 95% satisfaction rating from attendees as to content value
